We are living in an era of unprecedented advances in artificial intelligence. AI-powered tools are transforming the way we work across numerous professions, improving efficiency, enhancing the quality of work, and opening up exciting new possibilities. At the same time, these rapid developments naturally raise concerns and apprehensions about the future of certain professions and whether some may eventually disappear or be replaced by AI.

Conference interpreting is one of the professions already being affected by these developments.

Will AI replace interpreters, or can it become a valuable assistant rather than a substitute?

This webinar comes at exactly the right time to explore these questions from a practical and down-to-earth perspective. We will discover how Computer-Assisted Interpreting—or CAI—tools can support interpreters before and during assignments, enhance preparation, facilitate collaboration with booth partners, and improve professional workflows. We will also examine their limitations and, most importantly, discuss when these tools should—and should not—be used.

Join us as we explore these tools together with two veteran conference interpreters who have mastered their use and are ready to share their knowledge and practical experience.

During this webinar, participants will:

  • Gain a practical introduction to CAI tools.
  • Learn how AI can support rather than replace professional interpreters.
  • Watch demonstrations of selected CAI tools in action.
  • Explore their use in real-life professional scenarios.
  • Understand their benefits, limitations, and appropriate applications.
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas with the speakers.

So, roll up your sleeves for an engaging three-hour session, bring your curiosity, and come prepared with your questions.

We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday 08 August for an insightful, practical, and inspiring learning experience.
