Quality and professionalism

Clients can find highly-qualified conference interpreters in the AIIC database. AIIC upholds professional quality through the services it provides to its members (Intranet, internal publications) and its training programmes. When they join AIIC, members undertake to comply with the Professional Standards and the Code of Professional Ethics. These set out rules on professional quality, confidentiality and the like.

Advocacy for the profession and its practitioners

AIIC represents the interests of its members both nationally and internationally – to private clients, public bodies and international organizations. It conducts public relations work, is the negotiating partner for Agreements defining terms and conditions of employment in the international organizations, and monitors compliance with those Agreements. It also offers members a platform for professional exchange, networking and cooperation.
