“One Trial – Four Languages,” the AIIC/FTI exhibition on the Nuremberg interpreters, is set up at the University of Geneva (UNIMAIL), with less than 24 hours until kick-off!
A big thank you to the hard working Sunday FTI students and AIIC colleagues without whom it would have been impossible to install all the panels in one day. The inauguration, on Monday at 18:30, will feature Prof. Robert Roth (former judge at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon) as the keynote speaker, with opening statements from the Permanent Missions of Russia and Germany (the exhibition patron), to be followed by a guided tour by AIIC member George Drummond.
More than 200 participants have already registered for the three AIIC events during the week: a meeting with relatives of the Nuremberg interpreters on Tuesday, sign language interpreting & the deaf users’ perspective on Wednesday, and interpreting in courts on Thursday.
The hashtag of the event is: #NurembergAIIC_CH. We would be delighted if you would pick it up, start using it and follow it!
